Remember, you are the office blessing. It is waiting on you and it desperately needs you. You are no small wheel in anyone’s cog. You are the quiet blessing that creates power and love in the atmosphere.
It is my prayer that similarly to Matthew 4:20 that this would be a day that disciples would be made and would decide to follow Jesus.
Keep in mind that if a stone blocking a tomb guarded with soldiers couldn’t stop Jesus from accomplishing what he set out to do that there is nothing that anyone can put in front of you that will keep Him from accomplishing what he wants to accomplish through you either!
Being good and doing good to others, sharing God’s message with others, and knowing that you are being a help, blessing and encouragement to someone, is good natural medicine. It is a natural mood lifter. No side effects just life affecting for both you and the recipients.
When we get up and get dressed, we tend to dress for the day — the weather and the activities, yet when we “put on the whole armor of God,” perhaps we are putting on our generic Godly armor. Reading a devotional or a planned reading is a great place to start but in the spirit of personal / spiritual refinement, perhaps a step further would be to look at what is on our plate for the day (assess the weather) and align our Bible reading and our prayers to cover us, protect us and build us up from the elements that we know are sure to hit.
This year, perhaps we can assess if we are up to God’s code and if not consider updating our connection, gutting out what doesn’t look like Him on the inside, working through the updated issues of old and beautifying our heart. Everything is so much more beautiful after a remodel — even us.
Regardless of which loves you have at this very moment, Happy Valentine’s Day to you. There is love in your life worth celebrating and I hope you will celebrate them all.
It is one thing to share what is on your mind but sharing your heart is a level deeper. Sharing your heart can mean sharing your fears and emotions which while that can be scary, it can feel really good.
If you feel weary today, this week or even this month for whatever your reasons are, remember God’s promises to see you through. Let them refresh you and preserve you. Let them be the inertia that pushes you through.
Funny thing is that we do things for other people but sometimes forget to apply our professional expertise to our personal life. To stay focused, I need a clear scope, clear goals, a clear plan and roadmap for each goal, some clear measurable targets and status meetings with none other but myself each month to stay on track.
